History of the Shoot

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE "LADIES' CHARITY" SHOOT SINCE 1993:

The Ladies Charity Shoot's four "fore-mothers":  (from left) Mary Beverly (now Gamble), Carolyn Lause, Winnie Tucker, and (center) Barbara Bozard came up with the idea to combine shooting for a charity and promoting registered skeet shooting among women.  The first shoot was in 1993 and they persevered for 10 long years helping a number of local women's shelters expand or secure their programs to help abused women and children.

Louise Terry and Barry Rich stepped up to continue the goals and tradition with much the same 10-years tested format in 2003. They chose the wonderful St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (a nationally known local Memphis institution) as the focus of their fund raising.
